In this post, we will address what Jenna Rae Cakes is doing to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and sanitization possible, an updated cancellation policy as well as a pick-up option for everyday purchases. This post will be updated as the situation unfolds and we hope to keep you as up to date with information as possible as it concerns you, our valued customer.
Health and Safety Standards
At Jenna Rae Cakes, health and safety are our top priorities. As a business in the food industry, the standards of cleanliness and sanitation are high and thorough. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
All of our bakers have their Food Handlers certificates and we take every precaution in our kitchen to adhere to all of the rules and regulations outlined by Manitoba Health. Our commercial kitchen is not open to the general public and all of our staff are being encouraged to follow all COVID-19 advice for the public as outlined by the WHO. Our storefront employees will continue to clean and sanitize with extra diligence and our management team will continue to monitor the situation with extreme attentiveness.
Academy Road In-Store Update – Updated March 20th
Jenna Rae Cakes on Academy Road will be temporarily suspending all store operations after Saturday, March 21st at 6pm. To learn more, click here. We are currently looking into delivery services and will do our best to be up and running again as soon as possible.
We are taking phone-in orders at our Academy Road location to get customers in and out as quickly as possible. Here’s how it works:
1 – Call in your order at 204-691-4222 and pre-pay with your credit card over the phone. Our daily menu is posted to our Instagram story 2 hours before opening (10am Monday – Thursday and 8am on Friday + Saturday).
2 – Our staff will pack up your order and have it ready and waiting for you!
3 – Head straight to the front of the store, pick up your order, and be on your way!
Our seating has been removed to encourage more of a ‘grab and go’ experience.
We are no longer accepting cash.
Our entire storefront team are taking extra precautions and remaining extra diligent with sanitization including wearing gloves while packing your order and checking you out through the till, disposing of the gloves after a transaction is complete, washing their hands and putting on new gloves for each new customer, and sanitizing our store as frequently as possible.
The Forks In-Store Update – Updated March 17th
Our location at The Forks is now closed until further notice.
Cancellation Policy – Updated March 14th
We fully understand that events are being cancelled. With that, cakes and large orders may need to be cancelled as well. While we do our best to accommodate cancellations as we have always done, a lot of staffing and ingredient costs go into each cake and order we make. With this in mind, please call us at 1-204-691-4222 or email us at email@example.com before Tuesday at 5pm to cancel cakes or large orders for the upcoming weekend so we can adjust staffing accordingly.
PS- Cake freezers great! Cut into slices, wrap individually and freeze.
