Red Velvet Hot Cocoa with Red Velvet Whip Recipe

❤️ Red Velvet Hot Cocoa with Red Velvet Whip (makes 5 cups) ❤️

Red Velvet Hot Chocolate Ingredients:
3 cups (660 grams) chopped white baking chocolate
½ cup (110 grams) chopped milk baking chocolate
3 ¾ cups dairy or non-dairy milk of choice
¼ cup whipping (35%) cream
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
½ teaspoon JRC Liquid Red Velvet*
½ teaspoon red liquid food colouring
pinch of salt

 

Red Velvet Whip Ingredients:
2 cups whipping (35%) cream
2 tablespoons icing sugar
½ teaspoon cocoa powder, sifted
¼ teaspoon JRC Liquid Red Velvet
¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

 

Garnish:
Punch Bowl Edible Glitter Dazzle Dust*
Rose Macaron Edible Glitter Dazzle Dust*
Love Notes Sprinkles*

Method:
Red Velvet Hot Chocolate

  1. In a heat-resistant bowl, melt the white and milk chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, bring the milk and whipping cream to a simmer. Remove from the heat and add the melted chocolate, vanilla, Liquid Red Velvet, food colouring, and salt. Whisk together until combined.

 

Red Velvet Whip

  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, add the cream, icing sugar, cocoa powder, Liquid Red Velvet, and vanilla and whip on medium-high speed until the mixture looks light and fluffy and medium peaks form, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to overwhip.

 

Assembly

  1. Divide the Red Velvet Hot Chocolate evenly among 5 mugs. Add a large dollop of Red Velvet Whip to each mug and garnish with Punch Bowl Edible Glitter Dazzle Dust, Rose Macaron Edible Glitter Dazzle Dust and Love Notes Sprinkles.
