Our latest collaboration with Sugar Blossom Jewelry debuted this past weekend at Third + Bird and we couldn't be happier with the positive response. We loved working with Kelli from Sugar Blossom Jewelry to create our first collaborative jewelry piece, the Charmed Choker. So, when we had ideas for another piece of jewelry to match our popular new hand illustrations in our branding, we knew we had to work with Kelli to create another piece.
If you’ve been following us on Instagram for a while, you’ve probably noticed that Jenna and Ashley both use their hands as “props” to model our sweet treats in our marketing photos. Since using hands to showcase the delicious product also signifies that everything made at JRC is handmade from scratch, Ashley thought it would be fitting to include their hands in a new brand pattern. Ashley hired a calligrapher to create a few different drawings of their hands in various poses and paired them with her own vector drawings of our sweet treats for the final pattern.
Our latest collaboration features a raised illustration of a hand giving a peace sign. This illustration even includes the '580' tattoo that both Jenna and Ashley have on their wrist. Jenna and Ashley had this tattoo done when they opened the JRC Flagship store at 580 Academy Road.
The back of the oval design has the saying 'Life is better sweet' stamped into it as a reminder that life is meant to be playful and enjoyed-- savoured the way you savour a sweet treat you've been waiting anxiously to try. We hope that when you wear this necklace, you remember to enjoy the sweet things that life has to offer.
