JRC Gives Back - May 2022

For May 2022, JRC is Giving Back to Inspire Community Outreach!

Inspire Community Outreach provides evidence and culturally informed, family-centered education and programming, designed to meet the needs of those living with mental health issues and neurological/cognitive differences.

Inspire Community Outreach offers support made with and for families, right here in Manitoba. We believe that together we are stronger than we are apart, and that everyone needs help at times in our lives.

Inspire Community Outreach supports families that include children and youth who have a diagnosed disability, as well as those without a diagnosed disability. This includes children with all types of differences, like behavioural challenges, ADHD, anxiety, and Autism. Inspire Community Outreach offers support through advocacy, education and programming support for families as well as stabilization support for families that include children aged 3-29, whose needs are not currently being met through existing social services and mental health systems, supporting families to flourish in their homes and communities.

As a means of support, Inspire Community Outreach also has 3 books including an Art-For-Wellness Guide, Jonathan and the Big Barbecue, and All Kinds of Minds which was created with and for children who live with differences, including neurological or psychological differences like ADHD, Dyslexia, PTSD, Autism, anxiety, depression and others and invites children, youth and the community that supports them to talk about these disabilities in an normalizing and positive way.
Their website also features at-home resources on ADHD, Burn Out and more.

Throughout the month of May, purchase cupcakes in-store at Academy, Island Lakes or The Forks, or through SkipTheDishes, and 5% of sales will be donated to Inspire Community Outreach!
