Join Jenna from the comfort of your home and create your very own Jenna Rae Cakes Half Works Cake! Transform your kitchen into a cake studio as you follow along with Jenna and try your hand at cake decorating. You've seen this cake before on our Instagram page-- a beautiful watercolour style buttercream cake is topped with a crescent of delectable treats including macarons, chocolate covered oreos, gems, sprinkles and lovely ganache drizzle. The half works cake is a beautiful, elegant and delicious cake that YOU will learn how to decorate!
Each individual signed up for the class will pick up a Kit from our shop on Academy that has the most time-consuming parts already taken care of! Each kit comes with an already baked, stacked and crumb coated 6" Vanilla Sprinkle cake filled with our creamy Vanilla buttercream and all of the decorative touches you'll need to create this stunning design. You just get to the fun part-- decorate!
We've included a supply list of tools of the trade that will help make decorating your cake a lot easier! If you've tried your hand at decorating cakes before you may have some of these tools already on hand. If not, you can pick them up at Bulk Barn, Michaels or even order them off of Amazon! If you want to skip the adventure of picking up your own specialty supplies, we had an add on available! Add on a specialty kit that includes a turntable, cake scraper and an off-set spatula. These amazing tools will become staples in your kitchen and will come in handy the next time you want to create a cake! If you ordered Jenna Rae Cakes and Sweet Treats which comes out on October 6th, the book comes with an entire chapter filled with cakes so those tools might come in handy before you know it!
Then, on Sunday, September 13th from 3-4 pm you'll be able to hop onto Zoom and follow along with Jenna as she shows you how to decorate the cake! Bring your enthusiasm, willingness to learn and questions and Jenna will be able to answer your cake questions right then and there! We know cake decorating is a process of try and try again so Jenna will share tips and tricks and you can take your time to work on creating your own Instagram worthy cake!
