At Jenna Rae Cakes, we’re big believers that making life sweet goes far beyond dessert. Local Loves is where we share the people, places, and small rituals that add a little extra joy to our everyday lives. These are the businesses we genuinely love, trust, and recommend—because community, connection, and supporting one another really do make everything better.

The A'esthetic Skin Clinic
Today we're talking about The A'esthetic Skin Studio, a local business we've both been visiting for quite a while now. We originally started going because, honestly, we both felt like we were destined to have "problem skin" forever. Dry patches, breakouts, uneven texture… you name it, we dealt with it.
Our skin isn't perfect now (and never will be, and that's completely okay), but it has improved dramatically. More importantly, it feels healthier, happier, and far less frustrating. That's something we genuinely didn't think was possible a few years ago!
Why We Love It
Bailey, the owner, is one of those people whose attention to detail shows up in absolutely everything she does. She has incredible personal style and a real appreciation for quality, and you can see that reflected throughout the entire business. Every corner of the studio feels thoughtful. Every recommendation feels intentional. Nothing feels rushed or transactional.
What we appreciate most is that the focus is never on selling you more products or convincing you that you need an elaborate 12-step routine. In fact, it's often the opposite. The team genuinely wants to understand your skin, help you build a realistic plan, and recommend only what's actually going to move the needle. It's refreshing in an industry where more often seems to be the default answer.

The Vibe
Walking into The A'esthetic feels a little like stepping into a beautifully designed Pinterest board—in the best possible way! The space is moody, calm, and elevated. Every detail feels intentional without feeling intimidating. Their facials are one of our favourite forms of self-care. They're incredibly relaxing (we genuinely struggle to stay awake every single time), and somehow you leave feeling both refreshed and glowing. Questions are encouraged, education is a huge part of the experience, and there's never any pressure to commit to treatments or products that don't make sense for you. It's the kind of place that instantly makes you want to take better care of yourself.
Our Experience
The biggest game-changer for us has been becoming part of The A'esthetic Elite Membership program. One thing we've learned over the years is that good skin isn't usually the result of one miracle product or one amazing facial. It's consistency. That's exactly what the membership helps create.
Over the past few years, we've tried a variety of treatments alongside our monthly facials, including microneedling and the BioRePeel (aka the "no-peel peel"). We've loved both for different reasons! Microneedling has helped improve skin texture, while the BioRePeel made a noticeable difference in the appearance of our pores, which was exciting to see. Having regular treatments, ongoing guidance, and professionals who can adjust recommendations as your skin changes has made a huge difference. Our skin has genuinely never felt better!
A few things that stand out every single time:
- Personalized treatment plans based on your actual skin goals
- Honest recommendations that prioritize results over sales
- Beautiful, welcoming spaces that make self-care feel easy
- Consistent guidance and education throughout your skincare journey
- A membership program that makes staying on track simple and attainable
Quick Lightning Round with Bailey, Owner of The A’esthetic Skin Studio
Q: How did you get started in this industry?
I I have always loved the beauty world. When I was 18 I decided I wanted to do make-up professionally. I started doing make-up on people in my dad's kitchen. I continued to build my skills and work with other people, doing make up videos and sharing online. That then led me into doing wedding make-up. I grew my reputation in the wedding industry pretty quickly and was able to turn that side hustle into a rewarding career opportunity. I loved being able to make money doing something I loved. I studied business, then moved away, continued education in the esthetics space while working doing destination weddings. Years later I moved back to Winnipeg and started working for an amazing esthetician. I continued my education in this area and later opened The A'esthetic Skin Studio
Q: Who is The A’esthetic Skin Studio great for?
I I created The A'esthetic Elite program for anyone who wants to make meaningful improvements to their skin and selfcare routines. Results come from consistency. You are going to get results when you are committed to a monthly treatment routine. Working 1:1 with a professional to help guide you through the process ensures success in meeting your goals. Your time and money should be spent on something that will actually benefit you. At home skincare is equally important and must be done in addition to monthly treatments. The Elite program gives you an opportunity to access both in studio treatment and medical grade product at exclusive pricing. Being committed to a plan makes everything easier. We have had incredible results and feedback with this program.
