This week, we’re celebrating Filipino Heritage Month at Jenna Rae Cakes with a limited-edition collection inspired by classic Filipino desserts, and the favourite treats our Filipino team members grew up loving.
From creamy ube and mango float to crunchy sans rival and playful birthday cake-inspired creations, this menu is colourful and designed to be shared.
Available June 1–7 (or while supplies last), this collection was created by our Filipino bakers and team members as a way to celebrate culture, community, and the joy of dessert.

💜 Ube Macarons
Our signature macarons get a Filipino-inspired twist with a creamy ube filling and fun purple sprinkles. Sweet, nutty, and beautifully vibrant, these macarons are perfect for anyone who loves classic ube flavour.
🥥 Ube Coconut Cupcake
A dreamy combination of ube and coconut, each vanilla cupcake is stuffed with ube coconut jam, topped with a pretty purple ube coconut buttercream, and finished with toasted coconut.
🥭 Mango Float Cake Cup
Inspired by the beloved Filipino dessert mango float, this layered cake cup features vanilla cake crumbs, fluffy mango cream, graham crumble, and juicy mango pieces in every spoonful. Light, creamy, and perfect for summer.
🎂 Ube Birthday Oreo Cake Cup
This playful cake cup layers purple vanilla cake crumbls with birthday ube cream, Oreo cookies, and rainbow sprinkles for a nostalgic dessert moment that tastes like a birthday party and childhood favourite combined.
🌰 Sans Rival Cake Cup
Inspired by the iconic Filipino cashew dessert, this cake cup features layers of vanilla cake, cashew cream, cashew meringue, and toasted cashews for a rich, nutty, crunchy treat that’s impossible to stop eating.

As part of our Filipino Heritage Month celebrations, we’re also incredibly excited to host a special pop-up with Melted on Friday, June 5th!
Melted is a Filipina-owned Winnipeg pop-up known for their decadent chocolate-covered strawberry cups layered with nostalgic flavours, playful textures, and over-the-top toppings that make every bite feel like dessert heaven.
Hosted at our flagship Academy Road shop for one day only, this collaboration brings together Melted’s iconic strawberry cups with a special lineup of Jenna Rae Cakes treats inspired by classic desserts and childhood favourites. Think creamy chocolate, rainbow sprinkles, brownie bites, cookie dough, strawberries dipped to perfection, and colourful desserts designed to spark pure joy.
For the pop-up, we collaborated on two exclusive strawberry cup flavours:
🍪 Cookie Dough Brownie
Fresh strawberries layered with milk chocolate, brownie chunks, and cookie dough pieces for the ultimate rich and gooey dessert moment.
🌈 Macaron Sprinkle
Fresh strawberries layered with white chocolate, rainbow macaron shells, and sprinkles for a colourful celebration in every bite.
The pop-up felt like the perfect addition to Filipino Heritage Month, celebrating community, creativity, and the incredible local Filipino-owned businesses that help make Winnipeg’s food scene so exciting.
