Our short heart cake is a sweet, classic size—perfect for smaller celebrations or when you’re pairing it with other treats. The tall version has an extra layer for more height, drama, and servings!

✨ Think of it like this: short is cute and classic (2 layers of cake that feeds ~10 guests), tall is bold and show-stopping (3 layers of cake that feeds ~20). Both are equally swoon-worthy.

To get the most even slices, start by cutting the cake straight down the centre of the heart, then slice each half into smaller wedges or rectangles.

✨ Pro tip: Use a warm knife (run it under hot water and wipe between cuts) for smooth, clean slices—especially with buttercream and fillings.

Here’s how to keep your cake looking and tasting its best:

  • If you are serving the cake on the day that you pick it up from the bakery, you can choose to refrigerate it or keep it out of direct sunlight in a cool area.
  • If you choose to refrigerate your cake, please take it out 3+ hours before serving to ensure soft cake and creamy buttercream.

Cakes are best when enjoyed within 3 days after purchase. Store your cake by placing wax paper or plastic wrap on any exposed cake and place in the fridge.

*NOTE* We do not recommend freezing whole cakes. If you want to store leftover cake in the freezer, cut chilled cake into slices, then wrap each piece in plastic wrap. Place in a freezer bag or airtight container into the freezer. Allow slices to thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.
